Does anyone know if mixing different types of like size Oscars together can cause problems?

Never had a problem mixing mine. As long as there is not a major size difference and plenty of tank space, you should be ok. Of course, it all depends on the individual fish.

Never heard of any problems unless you have a very aggressive Oscar! Which doesn't tend to happen as they are commonly peaceful pigs lol. My local petsmart has a 50ish gallon bowfront tank. Hey have at least 13 oscars in there! The owner is "growing them out" but he says he's keeping them in that tank! I tried to buy them and he said no! But there are albinos, ruby reds, tigers, reds, golds, and platinum oscars in there. It's horrible!

Well Andrew at least you tried to do the right thing! I have 5 Oscars now that are about 3-4 inches. I had six the other day when my wife took a turn on feeding them and one tried to be a gymnast and ended up in the laundry basket. No she didn't even notice it was gone till I got home and told her!!! Kinda peeved about that one. Anyway! Since I lost one I want another! The only ones my LFS has in stock right now are the red Oscars. I have Tiger Oscars, regular and albino. I guess when I make the new addition I will keep a close eye on the tank for the next few days and make sure all goes well. Thanks everyone for your responses!
