i am away with work and got a call from the gf that my 2 oscars are fighting real bad, knocking into the lids and they are both all cut up now, are they just going through some phase and this will pass or do they now need to be seperated, they have been together for over a year now and fight every once in a while, but now its bad, also what can you treat the injuries with that wont kill the bb in the filters, or will all treatments take them out?

when my oscars got beaten bad, one lay for a week on the floor with like a white furry film over the wounds, i did 30% daily waterchanges and within two weeks they were nearly as good as new<also had top lip ripped clean off, grown a new one luckily,,
as stated could have something to do with tank size, but remember oscars when courting is aggresive, could be male/male which is a bad sign, but difficult to say,,what type of wounds are we talking hear? as in minor scaping to the facial area,sides of body?

albino has a black eye, yes it happens to fish, and face all scuffed of, like road rash, looks like the aftermath of a bad bar fight, tiger oscar is missing scales on his side, some still hanging, face isnt too bad, they have been in the 75 for a couple of months now, moved from a 55, and it wierd that they would just start fighting real bad now, they wil be moved again to a 125 once i find a stand for it
Melafix will fix 'm up quick and wont hurt the BB. Are there any decorations in the tank?

no decorations, pfs and a flat piece of slate, didnt want to take up any space and lower te amount of water since it is only a 75, and they destroy everything and hurt themselves on any decor. sand, water, and a piece of slate, now they be banging into some of the filter pickups, i am running 2 ac 110's and 2 304's, but i cannot take that stuff out of the tank, def interested in geting that stand built
i guess the one that doesnt get killed will be if i dont seperate, they have calmed down alot since i got home wierd
