agreed prob the sev, try and ride it through or rehome one or other, id ride it through and see how it goes, good w/changes are the key

you can always add a divider to allow the victimized fish to be separated from the aggressor while it heals.

why is he just now starting to terrorize the oscar tho he never has befor in 3 months i dont understand

It happens all the time. Cichlids become more aggressive as they mature, and sometimes tankmates that have been together even for years without problems can suddenly turn on one another. Keep up with the water changes to help the o heal. Do you have hiding places/cover in the tank? If it doesn't subside you will probably have to rehome one or the other or put it in a different tank.

yes theres clay pots drift wood and fake amazon swords there plenty of cover i guess il just ride it out and see thankyou everyone

my jag and oscars were best best buddys for 1.5years then one day jag wanted no tank mates what so ever, its cichlids for you

that behavior is expected with cichlids, especially as fish get older or there is a change in the tank's hierarchy
