How many Oscars can fit into a 150 gallon tank with 1 plecostomus and a reasonable amount of silver dollars?
or could i do other more colorful fish instead of the dollars?

I'd say one or two would be the most you could do with other fish. As far as the other fish, large rainbows would be colorful and would work, though not from south America, if you care about that sort of thing.

I personally suggest 1 Oscar due to maintaining it properly.
If the Pleco is going to be a common it too will contribute to that large bioload.

I have a 10in Oscar in a 125 with 5 silver dollar's, a Ornatus catfish, juvenile GT and RT. The tank is over filtered with 2 AC110s and a FX4 so far, getting about 13 turns an hour now. I do 50% water change every other day.

Will GT be in there for life?
Also what is a RT?
Can I see pics of all your fish and tank?

RT = Red Terror
I am not sure, one of the two will stay with Toni. The other will go to another tank. Who ever she gets along with when they get bigger.
This is Toni, she is 10in20180406_110119.jpg

Hotlipz the GT, she is 6.5in20180409_222118.jpg

Not sure what the RT is yet, leaning towards male so still unnamed, it is 4.5in20180406_213932.jpg

The Silver Dollars 20180325_001736.jpg

Catness Everwisker the p. Ornatus catfish, she is 7in now20180203_164422.jpg

And some FTS

at least 6 silver dollars and 2 Os start out with 6 juveniles and then keep 2 tht pair up or take the 2 best looking ones so 2 Os and 6 silver dollars
SDS need groups of 6 or more or theyre boring and skitish I would definetly get 6 juvenile Os let them grow and then find 4 a new home it would be cool if they paired off
