I have two Oscars about 3-4 inches each and they seem to like each other pretty well does that mean they are opposite sex? If I end up with a pair will they still be fine in a 125 for the rest of their lives?

Not necessarily ,they are to young to have paired but yes the pair would be fine in a 125 for life

Sexing Oscars is VERY difficult and at that size almost impossible. Most likely is you do not have 2 males, that generally fails from the start. As with any territorial, and even moderately aggressive cichlids, they could turn on each other at the flip of a switch. Could be lifelong pals too. I will say this though, and I have kept Oscars many decades, if aggression appears, gill flaring escalates into lip locking, odds are very slim they will ever get along. Wishing you luck, 2 Oscars in a suitable tank is very enjoyable.
