Oscars over red sand

Has anyone here done it? I have a pair of Lutinos and I wanna do a different substrate (red garnet) for their upgrade i just wanna know if /how it will affect their colours I'll make a similar thread in the cichlid section

I think the red against the white would look striking, especially with green plants in there as well.
