why is my oscars poop coming out normal with stringy white stuff attached. is it sick

yeah poo should be nice dark brownish/reddish color, if it has white/stringy stuff on it he may have parasites, how long have you had him and do you feed him feeders from the store?

cant get pictures yet. ive had him for 4 months and feed him feeder. i fed him feeders sunday and now hes having issues. he also is getting hole in the head. ive quarantened him and am treating him for parasites.

with parasites you need to treat the entire tank because they will be in the water as well, and yeah stay away from those feeder goldfish at the stores, they are riddled with parasites and not healthy for your fish at all, insects, ghost shrimp (if hes still small), frozen foods are much better choices for treats that are healthy and wont give him parasites
