Hi I have 2 young albino o's in a 100gal corner tank. I was hoping to add a small school of silver dollars to the tank but was concerned about being overstocked. The tank is filtered by a fluval 406. Any opinions?

you could do a few silver dollars, a few small cichlids could work but there could be aggression.

Honestly with that footprint I would not do silver dollars. They can spook easily and need the space to release a bit of speed at times. There is just not much room for them to do that. I have six in my 6ft 210g and they have bashed themselves good at times when they spook.

I would also look for more filtration, Oscars are messy and the 406 really will not be enough. I would add an AC110 HOB to that mix or upgrade to an FX5 to handle that load.

The barbs may work but likely will get ate as time goes on. You could also try giant danios or larger rainbows.

2 o's in a 100g is good enough.....Adding a herd of silver dollars will add to the ammonia........The two o's are good enough.........Try adding a HOB, an Aqua Clear 101...........
