oscars want healthy food

Earthworms would be better than any fish you could give. You can grow them easily. Just google Red wigglers.

None of the feeders farmed commercially are healthy for your fish. Too much fat content from being fed commercial feed.

If you must feed live fish, get a pair of convicts. They'll produce a new batch of baby feeders for you to grow out every 10 days.

Earthworms are good like nolapete said ^

Crickets are good I found a lot last summer, just make sure you quarantine them for a good while, gutload them, then rinse for a while in cold water, feed. (if you spray pesticides or know your neighbors spray them I def wouldnt feed wild insects)

I grew out a really nice Tiger on Tetra Jumbo Sticks and Hikari Gold. The colors are bright and vibrant. I would try and stay away from feeders for a main source of food, but that's just my opinion. You can also try beefheart, mine never really went for it, but he loved the sticks and the gold.
