Oscars with Rapheal Catfish

It'll be fine if the Raphael is big enough to not get eaten. If you provide some landscaping, you'll hardly ever see the Raphael though lol.

I have a cataphractus (and a jag cat) in with my oscars. Never see see them, but they do fine. The cataphractus was about 4" and the oscars about 9" when they becames roomies.

I just found this thread. Yes, it is fine to keep them together in most cases. Both species are found in the Rio Orinoco and Oscars are not known to prey on raphaels. I have a group of raphael cats in my 125g with my Oscar and an L200. I even added a baby raph once the Oscar got used to the other raphaels and he leaves her alone.

I'd go as far as to say it would be a good idea as long as it is big enough. Could help clean up a bit. I was thinking of getting a raphael cat but the ones at petsmart were absolutely tiny.
