Im not sure if this is the right place to post, but I just got a 3inch Tiger Oscar and a 4inch Albino Oscar from a pet shop. Right now the albino is devouring all the food and leaving none for the tiger. Im debating on returning the albino to the store and just keep the tiger, however they refuse to seperate more than an inch from each other. Could it be that they paired up after a week and being so small or they are just seek each others comfort. Theyre in a 30gal right now, and when they out grow that theyre off to a 90gal.

cichlid pellets the hakari floating, frozen blood worms, medium sinking pellets, and i also had the clerk talk me into buying a half dozen rosies when i got the oscars. The rosies are half gone, and the hakari pellets are only eaten one per feeding, anymore and they start spewing them out their mouths.

no feeders....IMO, to prevent feature problems. but feed the albino in till it's full then the other will start eating.

These must be different pellets than what your thinking. They are about the size of the white tip of a pin head. And the problem with feeding til he is full is Im afraid of overfeeding the albino and having him die

Yeah last I checked... spitting out isn't necessarily full... usually they go back and finish what they spit out. I believe its more or less they just didn't get it down the first time through

and as long as they eat it in about 5 minutes its not overfeeding.

I think its (virtually) impossible to overfeed a growing Oscar. mine ate 36 feeder minnows in less than 24 hours once, when he was only 5".

one baby pellet per feeding for a growing oscar is definately underfeeding, though (in my opinion).
