This might seem a dum ? but if I stick my hand in there to clean the tank they wouldnt bite it would they. They have awfully big mouths for a 4in fish.;)

Depends on the fish, mine would bite the heck out of me until my whole hand got in there, then they'd leave it alone. Wouldn't do that now though, they're a foot long and have no problem biting the hand that feeds them :nilly::naughty::screwy:. Or trying to smash through the tank at it either for that matter.:WHOA:

i have two in my tank and neither have ever shown any interest in making me part of the meal :)

As stated depends on fish, but usually yes.

Ok thanks I think Ill put a rubber glove on just incase . I was just bitten by oneof my bumble bees it didnt hurt but It startled the crap out of me the hose fell out of the tank and there was water everywhere. Someone tell me why we do this to are selfs. I think we have a really bad sickness.

My O is about 4 or 5 inches long, when i get my finger in there, he'll bite at it, but it doesn't hurt or draw blood, just feels like a little sandpaper rubbing on your finger, i was ready for it, but the fish wasn't. He took off and hid in the corner when he realized he didn't get any food haha.

Wooooh be careful mate, the rubber glove now thats protection, i always carry one in my wallet

there great fish, start now to try to stroke him, let him get used to you wilst doing waterchanges, there then should not be a problem at all

If I ever put my hand in the oscar tank, I have to put the whole arm in or they attack immediately, lol.
