Hi right now I have a ten gallon with an ac50 and 4 baby oscars about 2". This is just my growout tank until there big enough to go with my other oscars in the 125. I was wondering if I could put a baby flowerhorn with them or setup another ten gallon and have it by itself. Are flowerhorns really agresive like I see on youtube or are they like oscars.

if i were you, i'd just concentrate on the oscars.... they will outgrow that 10G tank tomorrow! and even in a 125, you'll have more than 4 full grown oscars potentially, thats probably pushing it as well.

and yes, flowerhorns are very aggressive... compare them to red devils/ trimacs etc...

the simple answer is dont get any more fish!!!!! have u read up on any fish other than watching them on u tube?????? 4 oscars have already out grown that 10 gallon tank...... 4 oscars in a 125 is beyond pushing it maybe 2 oscars will be fine but still almost to the point of pushing it...... when the flower horn out grows the 10 gall he shouldnt be put in a tank with oscars as they are not aggressive they are teritorial theres a big difference....... just take back 2 oscars and get the others in the 125....... for the 125 just get some type of catfish then ur tank is stocked...... no red tails no tiger shovel noes no arowanas a 125 gal is way to small for any fish that gets over 16 inches long....... u should read up a bit more than watching the fish on u tube.......

Oscars aren't aggressive? Mine is trying to kill his reflection right now.

I have a pair of breeding 12in oscars and a pair of jags(male-10in, female-7in) in a 125gallon. They pretty much leave each other alone, but sooner or later they will need a bigger home, and I'll get to upgrade my Aggressive Reef tank from the 75 gallon to the 125 gallon. WooHoo

10 gallon isn't an adequate grow out size for o's. How may oscars do you have in the 125 already? I'd skip the flowerhorn and stick with the oscars, spend that money on a 29 or 55 growout.

I've had horrible odds at stocking multiple Oscars in the same tank... even when using very large tanks (such as 300 gallons)...

I would highly suggest you return the 4 Oscars and discuss your situation with experienced people to get good advice on where to go from here.

4 Oscars in a 125 gal is too many Oscars for a 125 gal... and you said you already have at least one in there now... FlowerHorns and Oscars are not good tankmates... Growing 4 Oscars out in a 10 gallon tank is a bad idea... It sounds like you've been getting advice from an unreliable source thus far. Might want to change your source ;)

Bring back those 4 baby oscars and dont buy a flowerhorn unless your gone buy some bigger tanks! Do more research before you buy these fish in the future!!!!!!! Simple as that!
