ok so i fell in love w/ oscars i have a 29g and i want a 4-7" one and from what people have been saying 1 oscar can live in a 29g for life (the oscars that i am buying are supposed to only reach 10" MAX) and if not well ill upgrade :)
so whataya think 29g ok?

no u need atleast a 55g tank to house one full life because they get to large for a 29 for life it will stunt his growth just stick with the convicts but get a cooler species or get some dwarf cichlids. or a green terror or a jack dempsey would be pushing it in the 29g for life dude. that is a lie about the oscars. sure u can do it but oscars are intellegent and get happy and they get depressed seariously dude

29 could have held my O's for about 3 months .. and my big one would be pushing the 55 i have ..

i have 2 o's 2 red hooks and 1 royal clown in my 150 gal .. and i have some slight problems with fighting .. the O's pick on everything .. the red hooks pick on each other .. and the royal .. well .. he is a total BA so nothing messes with him ..

wow thx for the quick relpies on been like 1 hour

NEVER EVER believe what they say about fish at petsmart ..

they say that a pacu if a 55 gal for life fish .. i know people who have pacus who displace almost 55 gal of water. you should always do research of your fish before you buy .. like your doing here .. you have to remember that the LFS people are just trying to sell you fish ... we are trying to help you build the best home for you and your fish

ok ty

I dont think so and y dont u post up one thread and ask about all the fish you have Q's about being in the 29g instead of making a bunch of threads... i think it would be easier for you and MFK'ers...
