What size tank?

Anything that won't kill it or be eaten by it. There are tons of possibilities.

yep, we need more info:)

You should have the minimum tank size of 75gal for one adult sized Oscar Canister filtration or diy sump/wet/dry as they are messy fish

And you want something big enough not to get eaten but small enough not to become a threat.

with out any more info thats all i can really say mate give us more info !!!

And Welcome to MFK

I think you can get away with hang on back filters too, if you over-do it and have decent ones:)

dempsey's jag's pleco's, other o's. anything that wont fit in his huge mouth! make sure you have enough tank space(at least a 55) and ample filtration.

dont forget water changes. everyone always talks about tank size and filtration, but you can do both perfectly, but if you dont do enough water changes it doesnt matter because you will be undoing all the progress on water quality you were making. i suggest at least 50% at least weekly.

Unless you plan on having at least a 180Gallon or larger i would erase the Jag idea.....Jags become extremly aggressive as they hit adulthood and although i love my oscars they just cant defend themselves against any parachromis species.....I keep mine with Silver Dollars and a GreenTerror............
