Somewhere lost
Would a water cow get along with 3 oscars? I have 4 oscars but I am planning on taking the most aggressive and trading it for a water cow. The water cow is about 1' and the biggest oscar is about 14" the smallest is 10".

Well the future tank mates will be 2 clown knives and a pacu. Should they be fine also? I am planning to build a pond for them. I will take pics when I get back from the store and show you the 4 oscars. Probably get the water cow on Sunday if I do get him.

i wouldnt get the pacu, theyre a nightmare and bite anything, heaters wires anything. not to mention they get huuuuge. seriously i wouldn't bother.

the knifefish will be fine. had approx 20" kinfefish and an 18" knifefish in with with my 14" oscar for a couple of weeks whlist my friends tank was cycling and they had no problems.

My pacu doesn't chew on wires. I already have one. He just runs into the filter when someone he doesn't know goes by the tank fast. As I said I am going to build a pond for it. I have the 2 clowns already also. They just have to grow a bit before going with the oscars. They would be 2 gulps right now. Would the other oscar, the pacu, clowns, and water clown stop my 2 oscars from breeding? I wouldn't mind if they did but I am curious as adding a salivi they still had eggs. The salvini probably won't stay with the oscars he might get a 55 to himself in the long run.

what tank size are all these fish in??

No, water cows are a giant goby-like monster. Technically a gudgeon, I believe.

The two knife fish are in a 20gl only 2" each would be in a 55 but there are baby oscars in one and the other they were getting beat up so when they get a little bigger will be in a 55 then by time they out grow that the pond should be built, the pacu is 4" in a 55 and the oscars in a 110. They aren't together yet. Would a 6'x6'x4' pond be good?
