Hey all having trouble sexing my oscars,i know you cant tell until there full size but I have a normal black tiger red and a red longfin im certain there a pair by there behaviour and the way there constantly swimming together gracefully and the longfin has become very aggressive at feeding time enough to try and my texas.have done alot of reading but would prefer peoples input,cheers guys :)

Oscars are very social. What you described is very common behaviour. Don't assume you have a pair until you have eggs. They are extremely hard to sex, even venting is unsuccessful.

Anyway, if you find eggs, I'm wrong!
 
Oh ok I didnt realise how hard they were to sex,ive also been told they might get along well together now but once they reach a certain size they can turn on each other very suddenly unless there a pair?

even if you get eggs they aren't a pair for sure , could be 2 females going through the motions . i had this happen with a couple of uaru both female
