Oscura heterospila...

Wanted to know about the general care of these guys ? How big do they get , how big tank , aggression , tankmates, etc.
I'm considering getting one to go in a 65 (36*18*24) with a senegal (6") or a 90 (48*18*24) with a severum , a bp , and a bgk .
The oscura is 4" , severum 6" , bp 4" and bgk 5".

I kept one in a 300 with a Pearsei, red bay snook and Regani and it did very well. It was not aggressive per say but did get into some flaring matches with the snook pretty regularly. My fish got to 10” and was a male. Lost it when I went away for a weekend with it only being about 5 years old. No clue what happened just seemed like it had a swim bladder issue. Personality wise seemed very similar to a severum to me.

Mine was quite tall bodied and very round in shape. I really wish it was a bit more elongated but it was a colorful fish

IMO they grow too large for either of those tanks. Put them in a 6’ footprint.
