Hey guys. Picked up this bad boy yesterday. My CK kinda tore up his fins a bit but those should heal soon. Anyway, At my LFS it was labeled as a RTGG and priced at 30 bucks. There was one that had orange around its fins but it had a messed up mouth so I passed on it and chose this one. This one was pretty washed out at the time so I couldn't tell 100% if it truly was a RTGG. So my question is, what is he? RTGG or GG? My guess at the time was female RTGG but I'm new to these guys so what do I know lol. Thanks in advance.

No matter what it is a sweet fish. The caudal and peduncle both look strange to me - different from my O. gouramy.

These guys grow fast - mine has almost trippled in size in less than a semester. Going to need to upgrade again soon.

Thanks. He's a little beat up so he can only improve lol. You should post some pics of your Gouramy. :D

I know a lot of people get the red tailed variant and feel like they have been ripped off but sooner or later they develope the red fins.
so even if this is a red tail theres a fairly good chance it just hasnt coloured enough yet.

either way its great, been looking for one of these for my tank and everywhere is sold out of them

Oh I'm fine with either. I would prefer it to be a RTGG but either is fine lol. I guess I'll just wait a little more.
