I picked up 3 of these last week, 3-4" each. The LFS had 2 larger ones, about 6"-7", and the coloration was really awesome on them! Red spots on the body and a deep red tail. These smaller ones have some red on the tail, but not on the body yet. There's not a lot of information on the net that I can find on these guys. Anyone have any experience?

A fantastic fish.Pretty undemanding species, typical behavior of other mid sized/larger
barbs, not much more to add other than its real shame this species isn't more readily
available, haven't seen one offered locally in years. They're a nice find.

Yeah, I have three of these, around the 6" mark. Peaceful, hardy, undemanding fish. Very underated so not widely available. Which is a shame on some levels, but does mean that when you do find them, they are an unusual fish to keep. I have a couple of other Osteochilus species in with mine too.
