looking for ideas of other really cool fish to put in a community tank with a cowfish. thanks :] put pics if possible

You are always taking a chance of losing every living thing in your tank, when mixing it with the cowfish, including the cowfish itself, if it gets the least bit stressed/harrassed by a tank mate. Dod you look up the adult size of your COWFISH, BTW? Many species grow much too large for a 65g.

I'd go for the much smaller "Turret/humpback/pyramid/hovercraft" boxfish, Tetrosomus gibbosus. They only get about 6 inches long (in an aquarum anyways), and are much less likely to nuke your tank in a fit of panic lol. Some of the cowfish species, especially the common one, can get almost two feet long in the wild. Even in a tank they get 12 inches or so...which is a hefty fish for a 65 (think football with tail and horns)...Plus they eat a ton, and produce lots of waste.

Pufferpunk, that is a great site you've got linked.

I try... a lil search goes a long way!

Oh and important....Cowfish bite! And it hurts! lol. Teeth like a triggerfish or puffer...(teach me to tease the fish).

I might be mistaken but I was under the impression he already had the cowfish.

no actually theres nothing in it. I'm just looking for some cool smaller community fish. This will be my first saltwater tank. Ive been doing freshwater for almost 5 years and wanna finally do saltwater. Give me ideas of cool hardier fish. :) ive just always liked how cute the lil yellow cowfish are but I guess I'll skip it.

you need atleast an 125gallon; and a 240 if you want to keep other fish with it.
otherwise; as the others have said the fish will release toxins and will pollute the water extremely quick in anything smaller.

also; they release the toxins when they die
