I have a tank full of Demasoni's,Yellow Labs and some Jewel Cichlid. I wanted to know what else I can feed them other than veggie type flakes and brine shrimp. Would they accept wax worms, bloodworms or fruitflies, zuchinni. Tried of the flakes want to mix it up for them. Please, any suggestions ?

bro im in TO TOO
i recommend NLS 3mm sinking pellets
from big als!
spirulina pellets from hikari also works wonders!

How about that u in Toronto too...sinking pellets are recommened here can they also eat real vegetation zuchini or bloodworms maybe real plants they can munch on ?

bloodworms are good treats ONCE in a while!
The african cichlids you have are mostly vegetarians and have longer digestive tracts!
peas are also good!
the best food for them is NLS sinking like i said earlier!
when i had africans i used to give them krill sometimes too

My mbuna love zucchini, cucumber, lettuce and squash. I would avoid the bloodworms, but that's just me.

I would stay away from the bloodworms too. I feed my tropheus and petros NLS cichlid formula, dainichi veggie deluxe, nls thera a and hikari excell. My fish have a pretty similar diet to mbuna, so should work for you too

I'll stay away from the bloodworms then and try some of zucchini, cucumber, lettuce, garlic and squash..hopefully they take to it.
