Idk if this goes here but I figured it would work.
I have a 150 gal planted tank all Anubis. And I want to get. Around 20 or so of these guys. Problem is most guids say 76-79 as temp. And my tank stays around 85-86 for my discus. Would they be ok in that range?

I know some folks that keep ottos in their warm discus tanks with very little problems. You may lose a few right off the bat but by a a bunch any way. They do better in groups. Good luck

Should be fine. Look at American catfish, channel, blue channel, and flathead can all be found under the ice in Wisconsin as well as most rivers and lakes in Texas. Catfish = Hardy :D

Otos are delicate if not treated correctly...

But..to answer your question...most interesting catfish people like to purchase, are delicate in our tanks ranging from fancy plecos to giant predatory catfish. Most due to vast imperfections that can be found in our systems.

Even the common channel cat, keep in a too warm system with large bioloads, you will see your share of health issues.

Our catfish here in the states are ugly as hell IMO. South America has the good ones. They are all considered tropical which means no cold temps! Same with the African cats.

should be fine. I have a three or four in my 90g which is typically 85 ish and they are doing great. I probably should mention though I think I started with five or maybe six. The initial losses happened right away.
