Some background.. 29 gal. tank.. Started tank 9-24-08.. Nitrate, Nitrite & Ammonia are all stable at (0).. PH 7.6.. Temp 79 F.. Tank-mates - 6 Ram.. 2 Dwarf Gourami.. 6 Cory Cats.. 5 Gold Tetra.. 3 Midget Sucker catfish (Oto)
I do a 25 to 30% water change each weak. I am running 3 filter systems.. sponge on a power head.. & 2 hang on the back style filters.
I lost a couple Otos when I first bought them for the tank but have read that this is normal for these little guys because of how they are kept and transported from the wild. But the other three have done great for months.
My tank does have some nice green algae growing and I do also add wafers for them each day.
2 out of 3 of the Otos have nice plump stomachs and are doing great!
The third I found at the front corner of the tank, on the bottom, laying on his side. He looks very thin & where he always has pink under his thought is now red. I took him out and put it in a hospital tank.
I need all the help I can get !
