They only bite if you come at them from above and startle them, something about an instinctual reaction to bird predators. As long as you come in from the side and they can see you they are fine. But then again most animals will get defensive if you come in from above. And ya, she is super fast, and loves her big running wheel. We have only had her for about three weeks, we adopted her after some random person decided they didn't want her anymore and dropped her and a rat (we also adopted) off at a pet store. So far she is a great pet, and getting more friendly by the day. The pet store says that they have allot of people buy pets in December over Christmas break, and then decide they don't want them anymore by mid march. How sad.
