Hey, I was wondering, what is the species of pike on the bottom in the second pic?
nice little guys by the way :)

That fish is one of 2 - Cr. cyanonotus (Reticulata group)

See photo #6 for I.D. -----------------

upper left is female lepidota

upper right is anthurus (possibly female)

bottom two are cyanonotus (maybe a pair - most likely 2 females) these eat everything, often have 'chunky' fat bellies from small pellets and sticks! Rarely seen Pikes should be 12" males and 11" females, it'll be fun to grow them out and observe growth stages......

I'm pretty sure the two fish you are referring to as cyanonotus are in fact juvenile lugubris type pikes... actually, I'm 100% positive.

Sorry Jon, I have to agree with Mark on this one. Did you post the right pictures? Those look more like sp. 'venezuela'...possibly strigata/sp. 'lugubris'. Still be awesome to have ye grow them out and document all the changes!

Those had a strange name, these were the ones you got at ACA right? Cygnatus or something like that I seem to recall. . . not a name that I had ever heard for a pike.
