We were treating a 60 gallon tank for ich, using Quick cure.Everything was going fine and then after a treatment today we noticed our chocolate cichlids at four inches have laid eggs all over a peice of wood. Will this quick cure affect the eggs?Anyone? We have moved all the other fish from this tank because they are attacking everyone.

when i asked this problem as my tanks are prone to ick they said it will affect the eggs and they wont hatch, i havnt had ick since but you could just remove the eggs inanother tank. good luck and once they start breeding they wont stop

Little late but QuickCure wont harm your eggs unless it is a very strong dose. If anything it will help since I notice those eggs were laid on wood which is harder for parents to keep clean and remove fungus.

If your artificially hatching, the eggs are light sensitive so keep them dark.

Thanks for the help. The eggs are still there and the parents are taking good care of them. All the other fish have been removed.

The eggs have hatched and they moved the fry to a different place. We crushed up flake food very small and they seem to be eating it.When do we take them away from the parents?
