This weekend hubby broke the $200 mark for one tarantula. The most we have ever paid for any tarantula up to this point was $125. That was for the 6"-7" female P. sp "plattyoma" then we paid that for each of our 6" female Brachypelma smithi- Mexican Red Knee (we have two). So what did he pay $200 for? It is a species that isn't seen too often. It is a Brachypelma scheroderi- 4.5" Female. I think the common name is Mexican Black Velvet. Right now it is more brown but with each molt it will become blacker. Then we also picked up a Haplopelma minax. Here is the picture of the bank breaker.

Nice pickup katschamne but it looks like a regular old tarantula to me. :D

I agree with you! I do like our Grammostola pulchra and it's black, but I like bight colors, like the avics but I've been wrong before. We have one I thought was kinda ugly until last week when she molted now I see I was wrong. She's a beauty

nice pick up but ouch on the price

The price was steep but I have looked it up and it we actually got a little cheaper then Reptist or Ken the bug guy. One wanted $219.00 the other $400.00 but that came with 3 slings and then factor in shipping and we came out ahead.

nice pick up looks healthy too.

She seems to be a good eater so we will have to watch her weight. She ate one cricket yesterday.

very nice...
