We just added the remainder of our fish!! we got them from tangled up in cichlids. They are beautiful and doing well. Jeff Rapps was very helpful! here they are....

-Andinoacara Latifrons
-Astatheros Roberstoni
-Herichthys Carpintis
-Petenia Splendida
-Heroes Rotkeil
-Bee Cat

Anyone have any advice or suggestions since this is our first American Cichlid tank. We will be adding some pictures as we get them... just haven't got the chance yet :) Thanks!

haha well we think the peacock bass was eaten in the night. probably by the bee cat. we thought this might happen since he was a little smaller then everyone else. :(

You picked some nice fish but at some point you may have to decide what you want to keep and what you are willing to let go.

Keep what you got, If you do heavy water change and good filtration shouldn't be a problem. I had my 180 way over stock but all so ran (2) FX5's and did that for a year with no problems. After that I move everyone into a 240g.

Way over stocked, I suggest getting rid of the Oscar due to large amounts of feces.

Yeah, reduce your stocking as thats heavy for a 6-2-2 IMO.

+1. way too many fish if they are large. If they arent, just keep in mind youll have to thin the stock out as they grow so start watching for compatibility.

Very good call on going with the 180. Wise decision. You will be happy with it.

+1
