Hello Monster Fish people! Glad to be here, hope to find a little help/education. I used to do ciclid tanks, went off to college, then had a kid, then he's begging for fish. Now we have a goldfish tank (gave away the ciclids before he was born!). One orange fantail, one black moor, and one silver calico (seemed unusual for a gold fancy tail) live happily with 4 pineapple platies. They're all on the smallish side, and we have a "spare" 10 gallon to set up in up-coming years for when they grow up. All are in a nicely planted 20g long. We live in the south, so the temp w/o heater stays around 71*.
We also have a beautiful crowntail betta in his own 2 gal. tank, lightly planted. Someday, he hopes to have a larger tank of his own!

We want to add a pleco to the 20g; possibly a rubbernose or clown pleco, depending on how well research goes!

Glad to be here, and thanks in advance for any help/comments/advice!

Welcome to MFK, glad you found us. Members here will help provide alot of help/education on anything regarding fish. Maybe someday you can set up another Mbuna tank. :) Welcome again!

Nice to meet you, I have a guppy tank . Hope you find out some good advice on here.

Thank you! Starting up a new tank after years without has revived my interest. Site looks interesting, should be nice to have interaction.

And hly refers to my initials, after a fashion.

haha, and my son is already asking when we'll get ciclids. I love the breed, but we'll stick with the goldies for a few years, see how the interest holds for him! He's 7, and is asking LOTS of questions about fish--and retaining the knowledge! Quite lovely, and I'll probably be posting some of his more intense questions here!
