This I just have to share......

Every month or two my big delhezi undergoes some vary peculiar behaviour with one of his tankmates.

For 3 to 4 days the delhezi will follow around my pike swimming to the side and just below the pike. The delhezi will sniff/caress the pikes gill covers with his barbels and just not leave the pike alone. This will go on for a couple of hours/ then cease for a few and then start up again.

The first time I saw this I thought the pike might have gill flukes that the delhezi was going for, since then I have begun to believe that this may be a mis-guided breeding behaviour issue.

The pic really does not do it justice.. LOL

hahaha wat the hell. Del and pike? I can only imagine. haha

Thats a pretty odd combo, by the way it looks like your pike needs to join weight watchers. Although a few of my fish could use it too.
