I'm looking to buy a salvaged car from MI. And bring it to OH. Is there anything I have to be worried about? I have bought out of state cars before but never a salvaged car just wondering if it complicates things.

Thank you,

Don't know much about them and or the whole process but I have seen listings from companies who deal in such vehicles. Some of them looked to be worth a closer look.

Can't think of anything off the top of my head. Im sure you're aware the value of a salvaged tittled car is much less. Look into that specific car for problems. Also smog issues. Is this car for yourself?

Yes the car is for my personal use, I don't perceive any smog issues and the salvage price is why I'm interested

I live in ohio and bought a mustang from New York that had a salvage title didnt have any problems switching the title or getting insurance. Go for it.

Straight from the dmv site hahaha
"Be careful when buying a salvaged or rebuilt salvaged vehicle. Remember, just because a rebuilt salvaged vehicle has passed the state inspection doesn't mean it's safe to drive, or that it won't fall apart (literally) a week after you buy it."

If the michigan title is rebuilt salvage there is no issues to worry about, but if its just salvage you need to have it checked at the state highway post. Thats a bit more of a pain but with all the correct receipts and paperwork its pretty painless.. most if my vehicles are bought salvaged then i rebuild them to drive.
