Was wondering when two different cichlid breed, does the male's gene tend to be more visibly dominant in the fry?
For e.g., a male blood parrot & a female managuense breed.. do most fries have the physical feature of a bp with distinctive markings & colours of a jag? I know there could be a vague possibilities but what are your thoughts on this, especially those cichlid breeders..
Thx for reading..

From what I was told only the female parrot cichlids are fertile the males are not

MALES GENE !
I have a male texas that im breeding with my female parrot and i always get the texas shape !

There is no specific species/gene that's dominant. Just like when you mix two different humans you don't know what the baby will get from each parent. Cichlids are the same way. You could have a bunch of fry that take more of the dads traits and some that take more of the mom's traits in the same batch.

I will let you know soon when my fry is getting bigger :). Got 2 batch with different female here and so far I already see the different in fries.
