Well this is a cemented outdoor pond in the garden and it was probably built in the '60s by my grandfather and he used to have goldies in it...then as age took over him, the pond suffered and well right now i cannot see any cracks in it but water does not stay...

the pond is probably 3-4feet in depth and currently water stays at the 1ft mark :( [this 1ft is below ground level]

cannot detect any seepage down the sides...

i remember my dad telling me that he had it re-cemented a couple of times but no luck...

i dont want to demolish the whole thing and start afresh so is there a faster/cheaper alternative?

its a weird shaped pond [shall post in some pics in the afternoon].

would love to get it rectified and make it a SA cichlid paradise :)

just buy pond liner that big enough for ur pond nd cover it up.
find support to hold the side nd fill it up with water.
project finish :]

ah google search! feel like an idiot now :D

thanks...shall pick em up and try it out this sunday :)

thanks guys

Yah, using a pond liner will be your easiest and cheapest option, probably. The next would be some kind of brush on liner like Pond Armour, but that gets a little more expensive.

Definitely show some pics!
