In search of Leiarius
Does anyone have experiences with dwarf cattail and dwarf horsetail/scouring rush? Dwarf because it makes the pond look bigger.;)

I am always leary to use cattails and equisetum(horsey). They both have pointy runner roots that could potentally puncture a liner. The dwarf versions may have the same sort of root system that could do the same. I would use them planted into pots to prevent any roots from doing any damage.

Thanks, i didn't realize how sharp their runners could be.:nilly:

Both of those plants are nice and make atractive additions to any pond. I would def.plant them in a pot of some sort since both can be aggresive to the point of invasive. But, a problem of to many plants is not really a bad thing....
