What temptures can p-bass live in? Why I ask could the live in an outdoor pond( large pond, cattle water tank) in north Alabama are would it get to cold for them.

the coldest that they can be is like 70 degrees and thats probably pushing it, thats why you can only find them in south florida.... I heard that they planted some in Hawii as well!!!

has to be a heated pond.... cattle pond ? like a farm pond in alabama oo mee seems like it will be extremely cold and they well deff not live. hawii are not planted there.... those babies are wild!!!!!!!!! wild wild wild wild cichla and amazing ones that they are!!!!!

correct!!!!! lol and if ur heater goes up to 86 then so do it if you have cichla cause they do even better in 86 degree water... they get more vibraint and aggressive.... it makes them calmer when you are cleaning the tank ect....

Peacockbass are very sensitive to temps. That is also the reason why their range in FL is limited to the Southern part of FL only.

florida are wild peacocks! and hawaii are wild too.... they are a warm climant cichla.. thats why they are only foudn there... look diff them farm boys and diff then south america ...do some research.....
