Outdoor pong water change question

Is it necessary to do water changes in outdoor ponds? or shall i just fill it up with water as it evaporates?

you need to do water change, evaporating only take the water out, every dirty stuff still in the pond! use the pond water to water you lawn, flowers, it's like fertilizers!

yeahh I my pond out and clean out the gunk. It will make your water clearer. Do you have fish in there?
