General question here

If one had an above ground pool with a pvc framed roof to block all sun from entering the pool , could u have fish in it and it stay clear?

I mean I would figure keeping the sun out would help algae problem and a good sand filter would probably work really well

It's crazy yea. But that's what this place is for isn't it ?

Would never be interested in putting anything that is huge Just lots of silver dollars , barbs maybe? Something to out on a diving mask and go snorkeling in once in awhile. Then in the winter months , put the fish back in the 300 gallon

Just thought it would be fun to do and aquascape sand and rocks and fake plants ect.

My sister is t even into fish and she thought it would be cool

You can buy a pond liner to go over the above ground pools liner and

It does sound cool as long as you plan to view those fish while you are under water since it would be difficult to see and enjoy them.I suspect keeping algae at bay would depend on what you use as a shade material to block out the sunlight.

Yea. It would be an underwater experience lol I have a 4 year old cousin that would love this. He loves going to the spring river and looking at perch ect under water

That spring diving sounds cool.I had a chance to do that a few years ago in my SCUBA class.

And yes. No sunlight. Probably Epdm liner over the pvc thing. Or however Not really delved into this yet lol

I would have 2 500 watt led lights to light the pool up when snorkeling in it lol

my other option is a 40' shipping container, a person that goes to church with me can get me one cheap as they are the owner of a pretty big construction business ect.

I have emailed several storage container, or shipping container places to see if one of these containers will hold water.

if so Ill just buy a epdm pond liner and use that instead

its crazy , I KNOW < but its something that I wanna do , even if its just for several months out of the year,

I think it would be fun. a 40 foot long, 8 foot wide, and 8 or 9 foot tall container with fish , is a pretty big fish bowl lol
