Hi,
I have a 75g, with a 30g sump... Unfortunately the tank is in my bedroom, and I need the tank to be somewhat quiet...
The outflow keeps making a large SUCTION NOISE...like when your at the last bit of your soda with a straw. It is quite annoying when you are in bed.
Ive bought this tank fairly recent, and I had to switch the motor which is wayyy overload...about 1600GPH (great deal, and previous was broken). I put in a sponge on the inflow pipe to minimize the flow. It has worked successfully.
I did the same thing with the outflow (putting small sponge on pipe), but I have to CONSTANTLY (every few days) adjust the location of the sponge, given that debris will get sucked in. What that does unfortunately, the debris reduce the suction intake power, and tank gets overflowed.
Is there anyway to remedy this by a more efficient method?
Thanks for any inputs
