I have an Eheim 2026 in a 55 Gal and I'm wondering what's the best way to position the outlet and inlet tubes such that theres maximal water cirulation.

I find that part of my aquarium has a pretty strong current but the other side is really weak and debris collects up on that side.

The tank is also planted (nothing special, it just has plants in it) but the outflow keeps making the leaves and such go crazy, wipping around and they all bunch up on the other side, with less current.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Zinq

My situation is a bit different -- 240 gal; XP3, XP4, & FX5 -- but I've set my three outflow jets to push out diagionally accross the top of my tank like this simple top view:

My intakes are on the far right side. This setup has created a nice left-to-right-moving barrel-roll in the water flow. I have plants too and they only sway lightly even with the high overall GPH the three canisters push.

Perhaps you can "T" your inflow tube from the 2026 into two or three inflows and create something similar. :tropicalf :)

Hmm...
Thanks for the suggestion. Took me a couple of minutes to process the

I'll see what others have to say and try out some of the combinations. Does anyone know where I can get longer tubeing? It's currently kind of short at the moment.

No worries, it was a pretty simple diagram.

I had the same issue and went to the plumbing section at Home Depot and picked up some nice 5/8" clear tubing. Got 10' for about $6.00

Woah Cool, I didn't know you could use any random tubing. I thought I had to go and order one from Eheim or at the very least from the lfs, due to size constrictions/compatibility.

Yep. I just made sure it was drinking water safe and matched the inside diameter size I needed. They had everything from 1/4" ID to 1.5" ID with a lot in between.
