I have a pond about a 1/4 acre. It is roughly 8 ft deep.

It houses bass, blue gill, odds and ends little fishes and 3 grass carp.

I want to add some color to it.

Is it possible for me to add a few Koi to the pond or can they not co-exsist? Or any other suggestions on some other fish I could add I would be happy to hear about.

IMO, I don't see much of a point in trying to add color with koi because you'll rarely see the koi, if ever, especially with the pond being that deep.

A family friend has a pond with a similar surface area to your pond yet it has a lesser depth (might be 4' at the deepest point), and they might see one of their big koi every once in a while if they're lucky; they usually only see them at feeding time provided that the koi actually come to get food at all.

you can and in my opinion def add koi's. thats a pretty big pond. if you get baby koi's your pretty much will never see them especially that deep haha. unless u buy enough in the hundreds and feed them everyday u should be able to see them all the time especially feeding time. but lucky u to have such a big yard and pond.
