So I was draining a 20 hospital tank into a bucket, and went to check out MFK. Then I hear water hitting the floor, I jumped up, knowing that I overflowed the bucket, AGAIN. So I empty the bucket, and start draining again. Then my son comes over because he needs help getting dressed, and again I hear water hitting the floor. I emptied that bucket. Should I just let the water drain on the floor, or should I attemp to use the bucket again? I can't believe I was outsmarted by a bucket!

i wont admit to being out smarted by a bucket but my wife will tell you about the multiple times the bucket sprung a leak at the top rim of the bucket and the wet carpet that followed..and she will also tell you how she fixed my leaking bucket..she bought a small fountin pump from the garden shop and a water hose...the small pump works great to get the water flowing thru the hose to the bath tub..after the flow is good and strong i just unplug the pump and the water keeps flowing..or leave the pump plugged in its about the same flow rate..now my bucket nolonger leaks on her carpet

I have all the hoses and everything to drain it out the window, but didn't feel like seting anything up for just 20 gallons.

One word "PYTHON" !!!!! Then you won't get outsmarted by a bucket...LOL

you should build a simple drain on the floor like bogwoodbruce did

I agree, you wont have this problem with a Python, unless you got a clogged sink

I live in an apartment, so drilling onto the floor is out. When I get a house, I am going to have a fill line set up to turn on and off automatically, and a drain in the basement. In my defense, those buckets can be pretty tricky.
