Hello all,

I'm using a Tetra FS30-60 and Penguin 330 on a 38g rectangle tank, with 5 "African" Cichlid's from Wal-Mart. I was originally just using the Penguin but decided to add the Tetra. After doing so, the water is like glass. My wife commented that if it weren't for all the bubbles it would seem that the fish were suspended in air. I had a friend tell me that i could be over-filtering the tank and it was going to cause too much current for the fish to swim and could kill them!?!? :screwy: I told him he was crazy; as after adding the tetra filter they actually seem much more active.

I'm just wondering if there actually could be any negative effects from using these 2 filters on my single 38g, since one of them is supposed to be sufficient for filtering a tank of this size.

Yes there is a poinjt where you have too much water movement and it stresses the fish...

No you aren't at that point...
