Recently I have been trying to put more media in my sump but now my last compartment is which is filled with coral chips to the max as I need at least 10kg to maintain my ph. With the last compartment filled with CC, I realise my tank water quality seems to have drop a little. So I was thinking how to increase space within my sump. Do you guys think this might work?

Basically I'm just adding a 3 tier, 2ft OHF into my sump for my coral chips. Do you guys think it will work?

Yes, This is how I turn normal sumps into wet and drys :) 2 slates of wood on the rim of the tank a cheap plastic tub cut the base out silicone or fix gutter guard or egg crate and you have a bio ball area.

Now why not remove that 2nd pump? off your return if you have space you can a T piece > valve running into your coral chips saving you power. you will also need a valve on the line going right down to adjusting the 2 will allow you to get the right flow out of the T into the coral for free.

Id also place a sheet of sponge or jap matt under the coral rubber just to keep the water as particle free as you can to avoid clogging bio media.
