i want to know if my tank is over stock. im saving to get a bigger tank, but thats not going to be soon. their all i a 55 gallon tank for now.

6" aust. aro
7" pleco
3-4" clown loach (5 of them)
3" cat fish
3" rainbow shark
3" shrimp

I think it is... well Overstocked varies among people, some say that you can have a big biological load aslong as your filter can maintain it, which I agree too but I think that your fish will grow to large in 3-5 months and you will need to upgrade to atleast a 90g, so what's your filteration in the tank and are the dimensions all reg for a 55?

The filter plays a big part in this as well as how often you do water changes. It doesn't sound overstocked right now but it def. will be in no time.

i agree and you will have to be doing some pretty regular water changes as well. your arrow is gonna be way to big to be housed in a 55 soon too.

this is all true, but i wouldnt waste time/money on a 90....i would go right to a 180. thats if you plan on keeping that aro? just make sure you keep up on your water changes. youll be ok for a few months.

There is a very simple rule to determine whether your overstocked or not...

If you have to ask you probably are. :)

Why buy all these large fish for a 55 when you know you can't upgrade any time soon? :nilly:

I agree with above, you've probably got 2 months up your sleave due to the size the fish will be by then and also the aggression the aro will probably show being crammed in a little tank.
