Yes, looking for more replies

How big are these fish?

For a 90 gallon - no
For the filter - probably not, but getting close. I would definitely add a bigger filter and then stock some more fish.

Number one way to tell if you are overstock is to watch your parameters. If you do you weekly water changes and your parameters are getting high or you tank is looking cloudy (dirty) by the end of the week, then you might need more filtration.

The fish are all 1-3 inches now so no problems yet. I'm doing 25% water changes once or twice a week. The parameters are good and constant. You think I should add more fish? I think all of these at least double in size which, i think, would make it very crowded. I guess my best bet is to put in a power head now and add another filter next year (the tanks is 5 weeks old). Thanks for the advice and input.. sean

Sounds OK...Filtration will need to be increased as the fish grow. More bio-mass and waste = more percentage of water changed.

Mike, u seem like the guru, can u talk to my wife and ask her if i buy another filter?
Thanks in advance, sean..

tell her dead fish stink up the house... new filter keeps fish from deing therefore making house smell cleaner... Nicer smelling house seems cleaner, ie she will need to clean less!

:iagree: with both! You could probably use some more filtration and then of course you can add more fish to this tank. You could use maybe some dwarf mbuna if you have the hiding spaces.
