overfeeding plecos

Can a pleco be overfed to death? My plecos have big full stomach, Im just afraid that the stomach might burst.

I suppose it is possible, but it is something i have never heard of before. The only stories I've hear actually go the opposite where the plecos wont eat

I just allow my baby pleco to eat algae in the tank and whatever food my bass and oscar don't finish. Is this ok?

Plecos can die from overfeeding....

This happened to my Royal pleco of 7" after eating two nights on zucchini
Plecos can also die from a swollen belly.. this is typically caused by stress or dirty water/ low oxygenate water that causes organ failure..

With Plecos.. you have to keep water clean and well oxygenate...

What kind of pleco is it?

I'm not sure. Just a regular pleco? Its a dark brown almost black and I got it from Petsmart.

This has always been my problem. back in the 90's I always had some kind of food in the tanks and my plecos just grew lengthwise.
