Overfeeding

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It is really hard to kill a baby fish by overfeeding it. Fish are opportunistic feeders and will eat until full. As long as their is no excess food in the tank, your fish should be fine.

Thanks Joe just asking because one of my friend had some 1" dats that he say they ate so much the next day some of them die and want to see if that can happen because I just got 4 1"-2" dats I'm trying to grow out

My now 1" minis get packed full of Massivore until they choose to stop eating. They know when enough is enough. I wouldn't concern myself over it.

This is not even the fattest they get on a daily basis.

i think catfish and goldfish are the only fish in my experience that eats until death

datnoids are far more intelligent

i had 7 inches red terror and a full size vieja synspilum. they get sicked and i went to a university research center. They said that they have lipidosis (but not the cause of their problem). But i just feed them 3 to 4 days a week and not until they stop. So, im not sure its just concerning catfish and goldfish.
