would an fx5 be ok on a 38Lx18Wx31H? the tank is going to be saltwater im just wondering if this would be ok thanks

we need more details . corals live rock or just fish ?

If you are considering using a canister, you probably don't have enough experience to mess with salt tanks. Lots of cool freshwater stuff you should probably pick first.

Awfully speculative......

hi if you had a good skimmer and amount of live rock (berlin method) you shouldnt really need a canister filter other than for extra water movement or phosphate remover, both my reef tanks run this way of course depends on what you want to stock tank with though

ouch ! whats up with that ?

It's just that canisters are about the least effective way to go for SW filtration now....... Much better results with a big skimmer, live rock, DSB, and (if FOWLR) wet/dry.
