Looking for ideas for the overflow box for the new swamp setup I'll be building.
The tank will be 18'' tall but only have 13'' of water in it, and the idea is to have a single 13'' high overflow box (or something that performs that function) in one corner, having the pump in the other back corner.
I'm wondering if there's a practical/cool looking way to actually turn the overflow area into basking space for the turtle, that way it isn't wasted tank footprint. I was thinking I could build a slant leading up to it with rocks epoxied together, and then maybe put some kind of top on it, although I'm not sure what would be strong enough to support the turtle and also let water flow through.
Just sort of snowballing ideas. Any suggestions would be welcome!
